Leicester Precision Medicine Institute – Improving Healthcare in an Ethnically Diverse Population
The Leicester Precision Medicine Institute is discovering, developing and advancing early stage, accurate diagnoses, to support the best treatment and disease management options for individual patients. Our emerging approach for disease treatment and prevention takes into account individual differences in genes, environment, and lifestyle. Research here combines expertise working with the genetics in cells, proteins in cells and small metabolic reactions that happen in cells. Research techniques include digital monitoring of patients, imaging and using electronic health data. This hub of activity has been established in partnership with University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
