
At Leicester’s Hospitals we group our services into Clinical Management Groups (CMG) and our researchers work within these groups. Our CMGs are:
- CHUGGS – Cancer, Haematology, Urology, Gastroenterology and General Surgery
- CSI – Clinical Supporting and Imaging, including Pharmacy, Therapies, Dietetics, Phlebotomy, Medical Physics and Pathology
- Acute Medicine/Emergency Department and Specialist Medicine – Diabetology, Endocrinology, Infectious Diseases, Stroke Medicine, Dermatology, Neurology, Geriatrics and Rheumatology
- ITAPS – Critical Care, Theatres, Anaesthetics, Pain and Sleep
- Musculoskeletal and Specialist Surgery – Ophthalmology, Orthodontics, Plastics, Breast Care, Ears, Nose and Throat, Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery
- Renal, Respiratory, and Cardiovascular
- Women’s and Children’s – Maternity, Gynaecology, Neonatal care, Children’s service (acute, inpatients and outpatients)
Each CMG has a research lead who retains an overview of the research and informs each CMG’s strategy.
